Let’s be honest. Maintaining health is not always easy.
Sometimes we just want to put a band aid over our problem.
Other times, we want to dig in and figure out why we have the problem in the first place.
If you fit in either of these categories, you have come to the right place.

When you come to Standing Pine Health Clinic, you can rest assured that you have a doctor that:
will not rush you,
will answer all your questions,
will share with you all your options for care and let you decide how you want to proceed,
and will do her best so you can spend more time living your life than worrying about it.
I, Dr. Kayla Preece, am a naturopathic physician that graduated from the National University of Natural Medicine in Portland, Oregon and love to geek out on the body and treatment options. I strive to employ the full power of the primary care naturopathic doc with many of the traditional treatment options like herbs, homeopathy, nutrition to more modern ones like IV nutrient therapy, minor surgery, bio-identical hormone treatment, conventional drugs, and more!
Other healthcare related fields I have practiced include massage therapy and midwifery. Massage therapy fostered my skill in physical medicine (i.e. the treatment of acute and chronic aches and pains of muscles, joints, etc) and midwifery undoubtedly gave me the solid foundation in integrative pediatric treatment that I practice today along with all the other skills that being a midwife teaches you!
A little back story about me if you are curious. I grew up in the country in Idaho, surrounded by goats and potato fields. My undergraduate degree was in sustainable agriculture and my past life was as a farmer. It may seem like a jump- farmer to naturopathic doctor- but it really wasn’t. It is a natural extension of my life philosophy of self sufficiency and personal empowerment, which I strive to share with my patients as well today!
I am brand spanking new to the Methow Valley and moved here with my husband and dog Chloe to enjoy and contribute to the amazing community of people that reside here. So excited!
One final note:
A good doctor will make you feel smart and empowered.
I stand by this statement wholeheartedly, from everything to scheduling an appointment to helping you understand a treatment plan, and strive that you feel this way at all times.
